The trompette de la Mort, is also called the black chanterelle, horn of plenty and trumpet of death, it s a wild seasonal mushroom that dries to produce a rich nutty flavourful mushroom on cooking. The flavour of these dried Trompette de la Mort is so intense that I put just a small amount in a cream sauce to make a great accompaniment to chicken.
